Safe Disassembly Instructions
- Confirm the area is clear of fixtures, fittings and active services prior to removal.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including gloves, safety glasses, respiratory protection and knee protection as required.
Removal Procedure:
- Cut vinyl flooring into manageable sections.
- Lift flooring material from substrate using appropriate manual or mechanical stripping equipment.
- Remove residual adhesive from substrate where required.
- Segregate vinyl flooring from general waste streams where practicable.
- Adhesive residues may remain bonded to the substrate and may require mechanical removal.
- In older installations, confirm whether asbestos-containing materials are present prior to disturbance.
- Removal effort may vary depending on adhesive condition and bond strength.
End-of-Life Destination & Instructions
Take-back and Recycling:
- Item to be separated and stored on site or at Better Build for a maximum period of two weeks.
- Final drop-off arrangements are to be confirmed.
- A proposed drop-off location has been identified as National Flooring Distributors, Building 8, 84 Christensen Road, Yatala QLD 4207 (subject to confirmation).
