Description

Modular carpet tiles installed throughout the branch floor areas.

Materials

Nylon; Synthetic rubber.

Safe Disassembly Instructions

  • Confirm area is clear of fixtures prior to removal.
  • Lift carpet tiles manually from an exposed edge using controlled force.
  • Avoid excessive bending or creasing to preserve backing integrity where reuse or manufacturer take-back is intended.
  • Remove residual adhesive or tackifier from tiles only where required and practical.
  • Stack tiles flat and keep different tile types or brands separated.
  • Maintain strict separation from mixed waste to preserve eligibility for potential take-back or recycling pathways.
  • Removal may be labour intensive depending on adhesive condition and age of installation.

End-of-Life Destination & Instructions

Take-back and Recycling: 


Plan A

  • Stored on site or at Better Build for a maximum period of two weeks.
  • Final drop-off arrangements are to be confirmed.
  • A proposed drop-off location has been identified as National Flooring Distributors, Building 8, 84 Christensen Road, Yatala QLD 4207 (subject to confirmation)


Plan B

  • Stored at Better Build on pallets. Consolidate with tiles from other defits and return to Interface Minto ( Interface's ReEntry program)
