Teller Cash Recycler

Description

The teller cash recycler comprises a reinforced internal steel cash vault enclosure and structural frame, enclosed by metal and high-impact polymer external panels. The unit incorporates a secure cash handling and note validation system, electronic control boards, internal motors, power supply assemblies and associated cabling.  


The user interface includes an integrated display and control interface.  


The asset is connected to dedicated electrical and data circuits and integrated into the bank’s secure transaction network.  Decommissioning requires formal system deregistration, isolation of power and data services, and secure handling of data-bearing and security-sensitive components prior to refurbishment, recovery or disposal.

Safe Disassembly Instructions

• Formal system deregistration must be completed prior to removal. 

• Removal must be authorised by the bank. 

• Cash holdings must be fully removed and reconciled. 

• Security credentials and access controls must be disabled. 

• Electrical and data services must be confirmed safe for isolation. 

• Only authorised personnel permitted to handle security-sensitive equipment.  


Removal Procedure

• Power down the unit in accordance with manufacturer and IT procedures. 

• Isolate and disconnect electrical supply at source. 

• Disconnect all data and network connections. 

• Remove external cash cassettes and secure separately in accordance with banking procedures. 

• Remove any securing brackets or joinery fixings where applicable. 

• Lift the unit using safe team handling techniques. 

• Transfer the asset to a secure staging area for refurbishment, recovery or further processing.  

* The unit must be handled in accordance with safe manual handling practices. 

*  Ensure electrical isolation is verified prior to disconnection. 

* Internal components may contain moving parts and sharp metal edges. 

* Data-bearing and security-sensitive components must follow certified secure handling or approved sanitisation protocols. 

* On-site dismantling of secure internal assemblies must not be undertaken unless specifically authorised.
