A pre-finshed, durable, impact resistant interior wall and ceiling lining, fixed to either a steel or timber frame. Exposed has a recycled LDPE face and a recycled paper back. Exposed can be used as an alternative to plasterboard or plywood offering high-impact protection, durability and high performance bracing that is pre-finished saving time on site. Exposed can be custom made using client supplied waste to create a unique, on-brand board.

Preparation

• Confirm wall area is isolated and safe for removal.
• Identify fixing method (typically screw-fixed to timber or steel framing).
• Inspect for concealed electrical services prior to removal.
• Wear appropriate PPE including safety boots, gloves, and safety glasses.
• Use dust masks if cutting or trimming is required.
   

Removal Procedure

• Remove visible fasteners (screws) using appropriate power tools.
• Support panels during removal to prevent bending or edge damage.
• Detach boards carefully from framing to maintain structural integrity where return or remanufacture is intended.
• Avoid prying aggressively, as this may damage board edges. 
• Stack boards flat on pallets immediately after removal.
   

Handling & Preparation for Return

• Inspect boards and separate damaged or heavily contaminated panels.
• Cut offcuts into strips no larger than 300 mm × 1200 mm if returning under the take-back program.
• Stack and secure boards on pallets or collect in bulk bags as required.
• Protect from moisture exposure prior to transport. 

* Use correct manual handling techniques to prevent strain injuries (boards may be heavy depending on thickness).
* Avoid uncontrolled dropping of panels to prevent breakage and injury.
* Confirm electrical isolation before removing boards in areas containing services.
* Follow site-specific WHS procedures at all times.
* Ensure adequate ventilation if cutting is required.

• Take-back/Trade-in Program: During construction and at end of life, saveBOARD materials can  be returned for remanufacture through the saveBOARD take-back program. Boards should be stacked and secured on pallets or collected in bulk bags. Offcuts must be cut into strips no larger than 300 mm × 1200 mm prior to return.This is a free service (no gate fee); however, transport costs to the saveBOARD manufacturing facilities in Hamilton, New Zealand or Warragamba, NSW are not the responsibility of saveBOARD and must be arranged separately. Returned materials are reused as feedstock in the production process, supporting a zero-waste circular solution.
