Description

Fixed steel security storage units installed within secure banking areas. Includes reinforced branch safes and bulk coin cupboards used for the storage of cash and coin.  Units are fabricated from heavy-gauge steel plate and structural steel sections and are mechanically anchored to the concrete slab or structural substrate to meet security requirements.

Safe Disassembly Instructions


• Confirm asset has been formally decommissioned from operational use 

• Verify no residual cash or contents remain 

• Confirm removal authorised by the bank or asset owner 

• Assess floor anchoring points prior to release 

• Units are of substantial weight and require mechanical lifting equipment 

• Personnel requirements subject to lifting assessment 

• Wear safety footwear and protective gloves  


Removal Procedure


• Empty and formally decommission the asset 

• Remove door assemblies where necessary to reduce weight and improve handling 

• Mechanically unbolt or release anchor fixings securing the unit to the slab 

• Use pallet jack, forklift or approved mechanical lifting equipment for relocation 

• Transport as a whole unit unless off-site scrap segregation is required  


* Verify electrical or alarm disconnection where applicable prior to handling 

* Follow safe manual handling and lifting procedures 

* Units contain reinforced welded construction; on-site dismantling is not recommended 

* Cutting or hot works should not be undertaken unless specifically authorised
