CBA Forest Lake Branch Defit

reverse attack wall

Description

High security internal wall construction designed to provide resistance against forced entry and intrusion within secure banking areas. The wall comprises multiple reinforced layers including plasterboard linings, structural steel stud framing, internal steel reinforcement plate, and plywood backing layer. The assembly is significantly heavier and more complex than standard partition.

Materials

Plasterboard, steel studs, steel layer, ply wood layer

Safe Disassembly Instructions

  • Remove plasterboard linings first to expose internal reinforcement layers.
  • Cut and detach the plywood backing layer from the framing using appropriate cutting tools.
  • Remove the internal steel reinforcement plate using mechanical cutting equipment where required.
  • Unbolt or cut steel studs and tracks from floor and ceiling fixings.
  • Segregate materials where feasible, separating steel components from plasterboard and timber.
  • Due to the reinforced construction, removal is significantly more labour-intensive than standard partitions and should be undertaken using a controlled demolition approach.
  • Cutting equipment may be required for steel plate removal.
  • Additional manpower and manual handling controls are required due to increased weight and structural rigidity.
